Anderson Homes’ commitment is to quality design and
an ease of living. Alan Anderson, and his wife and sales director,
Delia, have prided themselves on this methodology for the
last 12 years. And it’s how they’ve built their
company into one of the top custom builders on the coast.
Thoughtful design, careful planning and a limited number of
projects each year have allowed Anderson Homes to develop
a reputation for high quality and attention to detail.
We believe that cultivating a personal relationship with our
clients allows us to comprehend their requirements and perception,
and therefore achieve a superior execution.
Originating
from a land development family Alan Anderson started his career
in construction and development in his early twenties. He
has consistently accumulated skills and experience for the
last twenty years. The dynamic nature of the construction
industry and evolving requirements of the regulations require
a depth of experience, but also an adaptability that allows
the construction professional to amalgamate state of art products
and methods of today with dependable and reliable products
and methods of yesterday.
Delia
his wife and partner of twenty years, left her career as an
engineering analyst in the aerospace industry with her unique
analytical and organizational skills she assumed responsibility
for the integral operation as well as sourcing and acquisition
of materials, contract negations, marketing and sales for
the company.
Five years ago, the company began a movement into the speculation
market. It was part of an overall approach of the company
to employ and maximize growth in an atmosphere defined by
ever-rising housing prices. It should come as no revelation
therefore that the company’s five-year plan is one defined
by flexibility rather than a fixed path punctuated by inflexible
targets.
“When
you’re operating a business I think you have to be where
the client wants to be. “We are, like a lot of people,
closely watching what’s occurring with the market place
and I think what we are going to see is a downsizing of units
with a major increase in the value that’s being put
into them in terms of the extras and the convenience of living.”
Alan Anderson
credits the company’s attention to market trends and
people skills, for his continued success. “I think that
a lot of people, when they’re designing homes, forget
that what they really want to deal with is how they’re
going to live and what their routine and lifestyle are,”
Anderson says. “We do an excellent job of getting that
information out of a client, turning it into a house design
and then getting the house completed for them.”
Anderson
also credits his knowledge of the building industry with his
ability to take on a management role for other companies,
managing their construction projects according to the same
standards and principles he has used for his own company.
“I think my relationships with the other subtrades and
our local government makes me a perfect fit for off coast
companies that need a local project manager, with a good reputation
as a local builder and project manager.”
